I’m interested in exploring the interface between tectonics, climate, and biology via the synthesis of original field observations, geochemical analyses, geochronology, and paleontology. I’m particularly interested in the major biogeochemical transitions that occurred during the latest Neoproterozoic through early Cambrian. I am currently investigating the genesis, emplacement, and paleoenvironmental context of massive phosphorite deposits in the Khubsugul Basin, Mongolia, while also working to further constrain the formation and tectonic evolution of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB).
